Lately, I've been experiencing a 10 to 15 second or so delay anytime I
access any dialog that has to do with setting a font. So something seems to
be struggling with the loading of the fonts.
There is also a long delay on initial Finale startup which may or may not
be related.

You set relative individual volume control in the score manager. Anywhere
else, like the Mixer, is only temporary adjustment and will be ignored on
playback.

Score Manager comes up under the WINDOW menu. Once you get into it click on
the name of the instrument in the NAME column, and move it up or down.

You could do it easily with the Score Manager, under the Window Menu.
Just drag the instruments on the list up or down to rearrange their
order in the score.

Finale 2014.5
(Two questions in one day)
I want to change the order of staves in a score. Finale 2014 is
supposed to have a new, easy way to do this and the OLD says, select
staff tool, then from the Staff menu, select Reorder Staves. I have
chosen and staff tool, but under the Staff pull-me
In finale2012 they're in the mixer - click "window" - "mixer"

Finale 2014.5
I am writing a work for choir and organ. With the dynamics set the same
for voices and organ, the result via VST Aria Player has the organ
overpowering the choir. I can only see overall controls for volume;
where are the controls for the individual instruments?

Changing the “Set To” value under the MIDI Tool menu has no effect on Garritan
instruments. For that matter, neither do Scale, Percent Alter etc. Any
suggestions? Works with SmartMusic SoftSynth only.
