Thanks. I can not replicate that procedure on the Mac. I tried clicking with
all key combinations inside the Edit Frame in Speedy Entry but there’s no
Playback check box! Finale Mac 2014, BTW.

If the cue notes are in a separate layer, you can mute the entire layer in
Score Manager. Click on the instrument list, open up the arrow, and all the
layer have their separate Mute and Solo buttons, in addition to being able to
load completely different sounds (if that ever comes up!)

You could go into the Edit Frame for each measure with notes you want to
mute (in Windows, ctrl-click the measure in Speedy Entry mode) and uncheck
"Playback" for each note entry.

It's being made by Finale. Anybody know what this is? The report is new.

I guess I could have the notes placet on a different layer and have that layer
muted. I’m doing that now. I wonder if there is another solution.

to zero. But how do I accomplish that on a Garritan instrument? I have three
cue notes on a Garritan Flugel that shouldn’t sound during playback, but I
don’t know how to mute them. Maybe I need to deal with volume? How
