Hi Jef,
Sorry to be so slow to respond; I’ve been away from my desk.
Yes, your solution seems to work for me. Thanks for looking in to this and
discovering it. Do you want to tell Make Music about it? Or should I? You
figured it out.
Thanks,
Glen

I just created a new document in Fin 2014.5 and tried to create Metatool for
the Staff Tool. The results were the same: failure.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Of course I’ve rebooted. I’ve had this same experience for the last couple of
weeks. I have not, however, started with a fresh document, just working on
existing templates created in 2014. I hope I don’t have to create new
templates. That would be a drag.

I’m using the colon key, the same key I have been using for the last few years
in one of my standard templates. If I open the same file in Fin 2014, it works
fine, but not in 2014.5. I have experimented with assigning the Staff Tool to
other keys. I get the same result.

In Finale 2015.5, I am unable to create a Metatool for the Staff Tool. Has
anyone else had this experience. When I assign a key to the Staff Tool, the
tool number defaults to 0 and fails to link to the key. I’m on a Mac OSX
Yosemite 10.10.5. Was there some change in this latest update that treat
I’m using Yosemite 10.10.5.

I made the identical complaint using Fin 2014 on a Mac several months and got
no satisfactory answer or solution, so I just abandoned the attempt. So I fear
this feature has been broken for some time. I look forward to hearing from
anyone who knows how to make this work.

I need to export a Finale file (2014d) to audio. I’ve got the file the way I
want it. I click on the menu item Export>Audio File. I’m taken to the finder
window to choose where I want the file saved. I save as an .aiff file. The
playback window runs through all the measures. And then … nothing.
Hello Finale Users,
I’m experiencing strange behavior with tuplets. When I have tuplets, triplets
with rests and notes, displaying brackets and the number 3, in two different
layers, only the active layer displays. If layer 2 is active, that tuplet
bracket and number displays, but layer 1 does
level and one in your user folder. Both are irritatingly hidden by default

Jari,
I meant Application Support. It isn't showing up. I wonder why not?

I can locate the folder through the Finale Preferences––>Folders pull-down menu
but I can't edit the plug-ins there.
Thanks for any advice.

Believe it or not, he's writing again now at the age of 87, after a
twenty-year hiatus. Brian Setzer has "discovered" him; he's done
arrangements for Brian's last couple of CDs.
He's an amazing talent. I'm honored to be a frien

This has stumped a number of people. Do any of you recognize either

little tricky down low. I use a small tuba mouthpiece in it.
