Evidently my preferences won't hold. When I have a Finale document open, I reconfigure the Main Tool Palette to that it is on the right side of the screen, and my tools are set up in a certain order.

I have MacFin2004b and optimization is not working. I do have "allow optimization" checked in the Staff Tool dialog box. It was working in all the previous versions.
