Do you know if Kontakt 2 download (when it's finally available) will work
with JABB?
Also, do you happen to know when the Marching library will be available?
I've been waiting on that one for 2 years.

Darcy,
I just want to make sure I'm understanding this. Is JABB not set up to take
advantage of the Kontakt 2 that comes with Fin'07? Also, does the Garritan
marching band library require the same specs as JABB?

Hey Chuck,
Just to corroborate what Javier is saying I often rename parts this way:
Instead of Tpt 1, Tpt 2, Tpt 3, etc., I might put Tpt, Cornet, Flugal, etc.
Even 1st Tpt, 2nd Tpt, etc. does not work; it will combine the tracks.
Besides, it's a good excuse for using fun names such as Sackbut &
Have you made sure that "Measure Expressions" is checked in those staffs
inside "Staff Tool"?

Make Music says that the problems of accessing simultaneous sound sources
can be worked around. I asked if one could assign GPO sounds to certain
banks of midi channels and say on board Fin perc. sounds to another set of
midi channels. The representative said "yes, something like that" then he

Does anyone know how the trumpets sound in the

Or, does anyone know when the jazz library or the
maeching library will be avilable.
Darcy, I suspect you know at least how the
trpts sound in 2006. The on board Fin.2005 sounds are very weak. I do more

I have a slow Hip Hop section (quarter = 76) where
the 8th's need to stay straight but the 16th's need to be bouncy. The swing
function does the opposite. I can accomplish the task by writing it in "cut
time" but that's n

You can't create a push in slashes. You have to either write it in 2nd layer
on top the staff or change the particular beat (select partial measure) to
rhythmic notation. You can remove the stems, if you need to, in special
tools.

It may not define form and I don't care. However, I've seen it that way a
million times and I like it.

I don't know what you mean by everybody else. Especially in show music,
production music, and on a great many recording sessions, the intro's are
likely to be lower case a, b, ect. One of the reasons is that, in many
cases, intro's are changed (halfed, doubled, vamped, ect.) to fit time
issues or v
That seems to be a problem with Finale. When ever I have polychords that I
can't teach Finale (such as C7/Bb7 or C/Bb7), I write it in Score Ex.
