The problem I'm having with making triplets occurs
when I enter them in speedy entry. The spacing or
duration is somehow thrown off when I enter a triplet
consisting of a quarter note to an eighth note. There
must be an easy fix for this.

Thanks for your help. I found the problem.
It turned out to be text that was in a group
in score expression. For some reason, the
text wasn't visible in scroll view when
(inadvertently) inserted.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I searched the documentation in Finale 98
for the Selection Tool and couldn't find anything.
There is no unwanted text block in scroll view.
Any other ideas?
