Here is a question to the collective wisdom:
On a gig this week we were wondering whether Bach ever used the term
"spiccato" in his original compositions? He does use it in his organ
arrangement of the D minor concerto from Vivaldi's L'estro Armonico, but
I am trying to find out whether he ever used it in a similar way in any
of his own works? Ie, most likely as something like "Adagio e spiccato"
or "Largo e spiccato".
If anyone can point me to such a movement that would be great.
