I'm trying to create some libraries for editorial articulations and expressions, and Finale is giving me fits.
I started by saving the libraries from the file where I created them. I then loaded them into a blank template, and deleted all the unnecessary stuff. I then did a data check to remove deleted items, and saved the libraries. So far so good (with the exceptions of the half dozen or so shape definitions that are not deletable for some reason). When I get everything just so, I save out the individual libraries. Shape and Text Expressions worked fine, but the Articulations library is not retaining my edits. One articulation won't delete, and another one won't save it's edited definition. Has anyone experienced this before? I really don't want to go in, record all the settings and then recreate the damned thing from scratch, since it's using lots of shapes (though most are just text). I really hate Finale. Just about everything about it is substandard in some way or the other. -- David W.
