I just ran into something interesting while editing a file in FinWin2k6b
-- I selected the Mass Edit tool but couldn't select any measures or
staves at all!
The mouse cursor worked fine, I could select different tools, I could
enter notes via the speedy entry tool, but the cursor wouldn't select
any measures in the mass edit tool. And it wouldn't select anything in
the percentage tool, either. I didn't try all the other tools.
I saved the file, quit Finale, restarted it and everything worked fine
again.
Does anybody have any idea why such a thing would have happened? I did
change soundfonts in the middle of the session, something I've done in
the past with previous versions of Finale with no ill effect. Other
than that, I did nothing out of the ordinary, no other applications
running in the background other than the usual army of Windows crap, but
that would be common from Finale session to Finale session.
Frustrating when it happened, but certainly not a project-wrecker!
