I installed the demo version of Finale, since MM said it’s fully functional for 30 days.
I opened an opera file that has been causing distress lately. A big file, 7.5mb for Finale, nearly 1400 measures, orchestra and about 24 vocal characters. Opening the file took a bit less time than Finale 2014 or 14.5. Saving the file again took about 13 seconds vs about 20 on older versions. Then I decided to seemingly tax the application some. I tried insert one measure stack around m26; totally arbitrary. After 11 minutes I force quit the program. Don’t have time for this shit. So far, I am not impressed at all.
