Touch the string similarly between nodal points (which is actually to
say ON nodal points that are VERY difficult to sound as true
harmonics--there are dozens of nodal points!) and yes, you'll get an
ambiguous sound. I've never though

There's this, with sound & score example (unless it's been already
referenced):

I'd say this is a slightly problematic usage. Isn't Sciarrino's use of
the symbol to indicate a normal(ish) harmonic action, irrespective of
whether or not it will sound as a 'true' harmonic? Certainly there are
unambiguous cases of the latter, for

- I also want to notate "half-harmonics" (a half
ever produced on my instrument :)
I've not come across it in use in subharmonics - can you point me to an
example?

Hi John,
This is a finger pressure of the left hand between normal and harmonic. It
sounds different on its own, besides you can use as a transition between
this two states.
Also some techniques like "sub-harmonics" use it.
Cheers

Hi List,
I'm quite new to Finale and I had trouble with a couple of things here.
- I also want to notate "half-harmonics" (a half fulled diamond note head)
but I didn't find in any font or image.
- I would like to have some arrows on the top of the staff for transitions
from one thing to another.
