Yeah, I had to mess around with this quite a bit as well. Try this:
In Adobe Reader <10 (you know, 8 or 9, but they broke stuff in version 10) open
the PDF document. Make sure it is viewing in the rotated orientation you want
it to (apparently, it makes a difference.)
