you rather read 7/4 with 8th-note groupings of 3, 3, 4, 4, or
alternating measures of 6/8 and 4/4?
philosophical answer: it depends.
is it really in 7/4 and this is an exceptional case where different
beat groups are intended to be heard against the pre-established 7/4
(in quarters)? or is it in fact separate measures of 6/8 and 4/4?
