If I remember correctly, it will only save as MP3 if you are using midi, it won't save MP3 if you using Garritan. (I would love to be proved wrong on this one!) Cheers, Lawrence -- Lawrenceyates.co.uk ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu

The only practical way to produce an mp3, especially with an added vocal track, is to save as midi, and import into a DAW like Logic or Cubase. Finale is not a one stop shop for anything other than notation. ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu

It is completely practical to export audio from Finale. It is also completely practical to add a single audio track (such as a vocal track) to Finale, provided the tempos match exactly. Cheers, - DJA - WEB: http://www.secretsocietymusic.org On 6 Feb 2012, at 6:59 AM, Nigel Hanley wrote:

I have a score in Finale that I can play through Finale the way I want it played. Now I would like a singer to sing the lyrics along with the Finale score playing, and have the singing recorded onto the audio track (above the score). This seems like it would be a common activity, but I cannot

Finale does not save as MP3. No program does everything. Use Audacity, from Source Forge, which is a great free program, to convert your wav into an MP3. This, at the same time gives you a very good opportunity to tweak your file a bit - trim the ends, bump up the volume (Finale wav files are
