Finale 2009 is out there, so I wonder whether Finale makers will come up with
a 2008 update fixing this and other bad bugs, as the unexpected quit upon
launch, due to tool pallete vertical resizing. Does anyone know anything about?

I doubt that there will be any more fixes for 2008. I don't remember
any example in the past where there have been repairs to previous
versions, once the new version has been released. I have not

Menu item Preferences disapeared from the Finale 2008 menu after I edited
the Chord Alteration Baseline Adjustment for flats in Document OptionsChords.
It came back only after quiting Finale and launching again.

Yup, it's a confirmed bug. Prefs are still accessible using the
keyboard commands, even after the menu disappears. You have to
restart Finale to get it to reappear.
