Hi folks I did a fink update-all (in response to an earlier question), and make crashed twice (i.e. triggered the crash reporting in Console). Should I be searching the 70,000 lines of output for an error or not worry about it? I reran the update-all and it said no packages to install. [246 /

All, So, this is driving me just nuts. I went into the /sw folder so I could see more about what was happening. I found that fink untars the source file and then runs a configure file. So, for the libjpeg that was failing, I tried running the configure by hand. The compile was fail

David, If you get 'command not found' then its not in your path. Try 'source /sw/bin/init.csh'. That should fix your path. You must add that command to your .cshrc to make it permanent. Also mysql dosn't care who you're logged in as. It uses its internal user databse. Start it with 'mysql -u use
