I have installed Fink version 0.3.2a and Xfree86Complete-4.2-1.0.6 (Xfree 86 plus Xdarwin). This is my first time at using any unix based system, but I have been able to install Gnome, and using sawfish, individualize the interface, however I'm having a few problems: 1) I can't download Midnight C

You control which window manager you get by editing your .xinitrc. If you want to try WindowMaker just run wmaker.inst from terminal. This will create your .xinitrc file. To change to a different window manager change the line that says 'exec wmaker' to exec soemthing else, the something else bein

Hi All! I'd liek to try out the different window managers, or even GNOME, if possible. I know I can't do this while using OroborOSX for my environment/shell. How can I go about it from the Terminal. I can get XDarwin to start with the startx -- -quartz command, but I don't know how to change

No idea who to send this to. Please forward if you know. Xpdf can not be downloaded, apparently foolabs does not accept passive ftp, whatever that is. Can whoever put xpdf in fink list a few alternate download sites? xpdf can be found on www.ctan.org, which has a large number of mirror sites.
