Last night I installed bundle-gnome. I have both XDarwin and Windowmaker
installed also, but being a beginner, I have no idea how to start up

gnome and/or a good text to instruct me in the use of it. Thanks.
OK..I installed mozilla-0.9.9-4...and the first try I got the same error as
before in 0.9.8. So I tried to run "fink rebuild mozilla" and all seemed to
proceed well. No error messages. In fact...here's the last couple lines:

Command-shift-3 for full screen and command-shift-4 for selected area also
work in full screen XDarwin and Aqua. Those are actually old standard Mac

Hello:
W3C has just released Amaya 6.1 and recommend the source is compiled and
installed with GNU tools. I wonder is it worth trying with MacOSX
Developer tools? Does anyone know how Amaya 5.3 was compiled?

http:/fink.sourceforge.net/doc/X11/inst-xfree86.php states
that Xfree86 v.4.1.0 is the current 'released' version.

I have installed gnotepad+ using fink install. It apparently installed
ok. But how do I invoke/start it?? When I type
gnotepad+
in a terminal window, it says "command not found". Am I missing
something incredibly stupid?

There was an earlier thread about this. I think it should work fine, with
the additional detail that you may have to reinstall XFree86 (since it
doesn't live in /sw).

Just to congratulate the maintainers of fink: after having installed
fink 6 months ago I just did a complete update of all my packages
with the commands
fink selfupdate-cvs
fink update-all
that compiled without the slightest error message (apart from 2
mirrors that were down, the option to choose
