hey, renaming the dir worked but now this happened. Your Fink installation was successfully set up for direct CVS updating. The directory "/sw/fink.old" contains your old package description tree. Its contents were merged into the new one, but the old tree was left intact for safety reasons.

I've installed KDE from source on my G3 PowerBook, Fink 0.4 OSX 10.1.5. The KDE splash screen bails out while initializing peripherals. The archives show a similar problem and I've tried removing dlcompat files from /usr/local/lib and then KDE won't start at all with a can't find kde.init error. Wi
