Anyone else having issues with downloading tonight? I've tried several
mirrors inclusive of the sourceforge non-mirror link.
Anyone know one that IS working?

It looks like the checksum provided in the tarball doesn't match what fink
thinks it should be (in the .info file). It's possible that the file is
OK, but had something changed upstream that changes its checksum. This
will either require you to (1) wait for the maintainer to update the .info
file
If you're using "fink install", you're downloading source. If you use
"dselect" or "apt-get", you'll be working with binaries.
The locale warning is harmless.

Okay, what's this about? I've tried repeatedly to delete and download

Is there a reason that they are stored in different locations? I

selfupdate-cvs by itself doesn't give you access to any of the unstable
packages. You also need to enable the unstable trees (using
FinkCommander or by editing /sw/etc/fink.conf . Did you do this?
If you did, then there's a possibility that a 10.1->10.2 upgrade got

I hope this is an easy question, as I can't find anything about it on the

You will still use pdftex--it's just included in tetex-base now.

This is a little off-topic from purely Fink-related issues, but what
do I use instead of pdftex in teTex-2.0?

Sometimes files get moved around between packages when new versions are
released. This looks like the case with the new tetex and pdftex: In
tetex-2.0-*, /sw/bin/pdfetex comes from tetex-base, whereas in earlier
versions of tetex, it came from pdftex.

You didn't install these libraries. You need to download the SDK
package for Apple X11 as well--the link is kind of hidden away on the
Apple X11 page.
