I ran fink cvs update and the correct version appeared. i had to go in
and delete the source files for kde and after that is is dling
everything again. i do not know what the problem exactly was but it
seems to be fixed. thanks for all the info.

for some time and my ibook went to sleep. Upon wake it just kept going
