This looks like more Freetype wierdness. Did you change anything in your X11
setup after the prior problem you posted about?
I reinstalled everything from the Xcode CD, including X11SDK.pkg. Now on
updating pango, I get:

Sorry for the third repost, but I'm still hoping to get an answer to my
question re: updating pango1-dev.
When I do fink update pango1-dev, I get this err msg:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -DPANGO_ENABLE_ENGINE
-DSYSCONFDIR=\/sw/etc\ -DLIBDIR=\/sw/lib\ -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED
