I ran into the following while trying to install Gnumeric:

Any ideas on how to solve this would be apprecia
You need to go further back in the output. There isn't any usable
information here.

Keep checking further back. Look for anything marked as an 'error'. If you
can't find anything, then try rebuilding ('fink rebuild') the depencies of
gnome-print: gdk-pixbuf, libxml, libglade, and freetype2.
I've had problems where rebuilding gdk-pixbuf did the trick, so start there.
