Let me clarify:
Binaries that are built for Linux _won't_ run on OSX/Darwin.
Repackaging a Linux RPM file as a deb is probably not that useful,
unless by some chance the package is just text (like shell scripts).
There is an OSX version of RPM, which I found on rpm.org .
