[Fink-beginners] Symbol definition issues

I recently installed fink 0.4.1 on OS X 10.2.1. I followed the 10.2 instructions and everything was working fine. However after installing a number of packages using dselect I am suddenly running into a lot of symbol definition errors that make it impossible for me to use, among other things, apt-
