I do not understand that. What is an "upstream version"?
Thanks.

I've installed gpsdrive. It seems the error that the mouse an thus
the programme is unusable has persisted for some time (according to
fink info gpsdrive for three years). Now, there's no maintainer.
Are there any chances, this programme will get maintained and usable
sometimes?
Thanks.

If somebody tries it and sends positive feedback to fink-devel, it can
get moved.
I tried to use wpget, but didn't get it to work. The gpsdrive manual
says, it needs wpcvt and garble. I couldn't find garble. is it included
in the fink distribution of gpsdrive? Where can I find it. I couldn't
find any respective man pages. What is the correct syntax for wpget?
Thanks a lot.
I got gpsdrive to run. And here is my first questions:
Mouseclicks seem to have no effect. Could that be a problem with
Apple's X11, I use? It runs it Simulation mode only, I've not yet
attached a gps receiver.
MacOS X 10.3.2, Build 7D24
X11 1.0 - XFree86 4.3.0

I've attached a three button mouse and had some effect clicking both,

It seg-faults. We're
Did I understand the information correctly on
http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/gpsdrive
that's there's no version of gpsdrive runnable on MacOS X 10.3?
Is anything known about the progress of that port?
Thanks a lot.
