hey, i installed fink, got xfree86 and bundle-kde, followed the instructions, created the .xinitrc file et al... when i click on the x-icon, x starts, but it runs the default window manager; when i type 'startkde' in a terminal window there, it starts kde, but kde runs 'inside' the default windo

i checked my /tmp directory, there isn't a file called 'kde.log'.. another weird thing: even though xfree86 is installed (xdarwin), my machine doesn't seem to know the 'startx' command.. i'll check the faq's tonight :-) thanks for any help, bruno --- Benjamin Reed <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >
