Thanks Alexander and Benjamin. Xfree86 was the solution and I have and almost working version of KDE3.2. I have many apps, wm and lots of goodies but... I'm missing help files and several other needed files. I tried to update kmail and got dependency problems: The following package will be in

Gentlemen, I decided that I would uninstall Apple's X11 and am now downloading xfree86 and -shlibs via fink. Any other advice? Not having used anything but Apple's X11 I'm not sure how to proceed with xfree86 once the download is complete. Thanks, Brian ---

Still in update land for kde. I'm running OSX 10.2.3 if I forgot to mention it. Can I re-download the package (bundle-kde) and remove the existing package that won't compile and then try again? If so, how do I re-download? How do I find out which package contains the missing file? Muchas Gracia
