There are binary compatibility issues between code compiled with gcc 3.1 and gcc 3.3. We are still investigating these, to determine what the impact will be on Fink. For now, I advise everyone to stick with gcc 3.1 for their compiles. -- Dave -

Am I doing something wrong? I've been unable to get a good solid CVS update in the past week. Either I can't connect with the server, or when I do, the update proceeds v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y (taking about five minutes to get to 10.2 - the interesting bits!) and then times out midway through that.
