And your reversions broke everything even more. You're not allowed to
rev-down in an existing version (can't strand users at a higher
revision, especially if the actual maintainer were to rev-up for a
bugfix). I re-raised the revs and now I think everything is back to
sanity.

Yes, I was sitting here for a while trying to figure out why you said
this, and then I realized that I'd forgotten about the whole rsync
infrastructure. I've been thinking so much about cvs on another project
that I completely forgot about all that and thought just reverting would
fix everything.
