Subject: [Fink-users] Which Darwin package kernel?
Date: Wed, 11 Dec 2002 04:10:35 -1000

Yesterday I installed Fink 0.5.0a from the Source Release on OS X 10.2.2.

My fink list on this machine states:

i darwin 6.2-1 [virtual package representing the kernel]
And then there's this Web page which states there's a different version of the darwin kernel for release 0.5.0a-stable:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/darwin

In 0.5.0a-stable: Version 6.3-1
Is this a conflict or am I misreading something here?

We should hide the darwin/macosx virtual packages from the PDB.

Apple might not be happy about such a direct "hint" at the fact that somebody had a 10.2.3 beta installed <cough> :-) After all there is this NDA stuff and such
