I can't be more specific, during make install on gettext from fink cvs
it was installing share/man and share/info in %p/share and not %i/share
so when it tried to move for splits they aren't there so it would fail,
I just went in dled the official tarball and it worked fine then
upgraded...just

You'll defintely find some rough edges if you try to use fink with the
WWDC Panther preview. A number of fink developers will have access to
Panther seeds as software seed key holders, and we're working to get
fink up and running.
I found lots of problems with various 0.5.3 binary packages
Ok, so lets say that someone has the dev preview of panther and wants
to do a clean install of fink. Does this mean that I have to
cannibalize the fink-5.3 source installer and make it work with the
10.3 tree, or is there some easier path available?
