I notice that there are a lot of packages that have two or even three versions in the same tree. It never dawned on me that this would be possible or acceptable.

My package xplanet lost many features going from 0.9x to 1.x, that users are complaining about, so I'm thinking of bringing back the .9x version, while keeping the 1.x version. Is it still acceptable to have file names xplanet-0.9x-1.info, or would I be better off having xplanet09.info, which would conflict with and replace xplanet, the main package?
