I have, due to a lack of time in the past week, only just fixed this in the
latest apt versions.

Alas, still no success...
I tried the new apt.info from Sjors, added MaxBuildJobs: 1 to
fink.conf, reverted fink from HEAD to 0.29.12-41.
Still getting the same error.
