Ran fink selfupdate-cvs today, then fink update-all, fink found newer
ver of readline library and moved on to download and build it.
The following is the transcript from that compilation&installation:

Unfortunately, the PDF/EPS selection feature didn't make it into release
0.2.1 but you can actually use Edit -> Copy
If you have the xfree86-server package installed, xfree86-rootless should
replace it. Could you send the error message, the exact version of the
package you have installed, and the version of fink you are running?

The 'M' here is key... Have you been editing the info files? :)
You'll need to rm
dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/sawfish-1.0.1-1.info
and any other files with the M flag for it to work.
