You also shouldn't install test-harness: it too is included in perl580
(as well as file-spec).
There are some 20 packages like that, which have to be fixed.

Since the conflicting file is just a manpage, you should be free to follow
the instructions in

It still does need to be fixed.

If you are looking for a spreadsheet, I would go with Gnumeric. Also,
OpenOffice has a pretty nice spreadsheet application and is more like
Appleworks (has lots of other stuff, you may or may not need). It is
not very lightweight, however.
