Hello Masanori,
I've just fink update-all (ed) and I faced this problem:

I just upgraded to gcc3.3, did:
fink selfupdate
sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl
fink selfupdate
fink update xfree86-rootless
all of which (apparently) completed successfully. I will note that the
xfree update is from the unstable tree (i.e., 4.2.1.1-18). When I run
XDarwin, it fails as shown be
I noticed that your version of fink is rather old. I realize you are not
choosing to use the CVS updates, but even the "point release" method has
updated a few times. Try again after running "fink selfupdate."

Whoops, my apologies, there was an error in the numbering in the files.

Whats your update method? The rsync mirrors should have been updated an
hour or so after the commit, but anonymous CVS has a longer delay.

No, gettext-dev definitely still exists. Try just installing it and see
what happens.

There's not one as of yet. There wasn't one for 10.2 because the system's
Python lacked headers. I'm not sure about 10.3.

Run "sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl". That should switch the symlink to
10.2-gcc3.3. A "fink selfupdat

I finally got around to upgrading to the August 2003 gcc update, but I'm
not sure fink is pointing at the right things.
Firstly, I'm currently using fink 0.17.1 (and have been for a few weeks,
or so). So I installed the gcc 3.3 update, did 'fink selfupdate' then
'fink update-all'. The only

Ok, thanks, I'll try that. :) (might take a while, I left the CD in
Norway while I've got the box in Denmark)

Hello all -
I've been trying to get the Postfix package to install on a G3 (10.2 w/

Distribution version: 0.5.4

# Fink configuration, initially created by bootstrap.pl
Basepath: /sw

I waited until Sunday, but a new selfupdate left me with same time-hires info files. Therefore, I can not overcome the depends. I tried rebuilding, but of course without new info files I can't resove the dependency. Any more suggestions?

I currently have the gnome 1.4 libraries installed on my machine
(using 10.3 branch of fink) because they are required to get gnucash
running, however now I also want to try and get gnocatan installed
(http://gnocatan.sourceforge.net/), which requires some gnome2 libraries

Well, thanks for the scoop. BTW soap-lite-pm seems to be the best way
(OK, OK, change that to "my prefered way") to work with the google
API, but I can wait.
