[Fink-users] zsh and gnome-terminal

2005-01-04 Thread Geoffrey Washburn
When using fink's zsh with gnome-terminal, it does not seem to understand TERM=xterm. zsh is spitting out escape sequences that gnome-terminal doesn't understand. If I change TERM=ansi or TERM=vt102 it seems to behave correctly. If I run zsh under an actual xterm everything works okay as we

Alexander, /sw/sbin/install-info was supposed to be provided by dpkg. The first thing to try would be to do something analogous to item 5, but copy files from /sw_0.7.1/sbin to /sw/sbin I found install-info in both places, and suspected a transient PATH problem. After restarting, I was able to u

I've been troubleshooting a strange X11 font problem, and have discovered that /etc/fonts/ is missing. I did two things around the time of the disappearance: 1. move fink to a directory on another volume symlinked to /sw, and 2. remove fink's xorg package to go back to Apple's X11. I wouldn
