I'm getting this:
Downloading the indexes of available packages in the binary
distribution.
/sw/bin/apt-get-lockwait update
Waiting up to 300 seconds for access to the dpkg database...
similarly if I try to install anything.
Any way out?

Hi,
I had over time hopelessly tweaked my fink into trouble and so
removed ~/sw/ and fink commander for a redo. All is well except I
can't find Lyx. Any ideas? Is it gone or is my local install of Fink
Commander not seeing it?
