I had a similar problem here at my new job. There is a firewall, and a traffic monitor (iPrism St. Bernard, www.stbernard.com) on top of that. So, I could never get rsync to work. Using CVS solved the problem. It's less elegant than rsync, perhaps, but it works. Plus, not offending IT people ha
