I use mencoder with a custom Python program of mine. You can get the
mplayer (includes mencoder) package from fink

I found a reasonably nice script (at bottom) which first used "aac" as the
audio codec. That didn't work, so I did an "ffmpeg -formats | grep aac" and

Yes, this is a (IMHO somewhat annoying) feature where Fink tries to be
