If you remove the fink-installed F-Q 1.08, does GnuCash 1.8.12 still

sure. You'll probably have to force-remove it, because fink will

I've successfully compiled and installed Gnucash 2.0.1 on Mac OS X
v10.4 (PowerPC). I used the Fink dependency tree shown at

This is the same gnome-libs bug you have seen elsewhere. I have now
checked a fix into CVS. Please update gnome-libs-dev to version 1.4.2-52

I ended up having to start from scratch - rebootstrap fink
Okay... here's what I did last night.
I removed Fink completely:
sudo rm -rf /sw
but forgot to remove my kludge from the previous install, which was:
ln -s /sw/lib /support
so that is still there for most of the following...
First I downloaded fink-0.23.9.tar.gz to my home directory and

Could you show some more lines before this error, please?
rm -f .libs/gnome-font-family.lo

I readded stable/main and stable/crypto to fink.conf
fink selfupdate
fink install gnome-libs-dev-1.4.2-50
rm /support
fink -y install gnucash
which got further (and past gnome-print)! But then failed on gal21-0.22-14 with
the old:
libtool: link: cannot find the library
After reading about gnome-libs-dev-1.4.2-52 from Martin Costabel and rereading
my above notes, I tried:
fink selfupdate
rm /support
fink install gnome-libs-dev
fink rebuild gal21
(fails with /support/libgnomesupport.la error), so:
ln -s /sw/lib /support
fink rebuild gal21
fink reinstall gal21

There is obviously something wrong, but I'm not sure
I'm trying to install gnucash on a fresh install of Tiger. Fink had some

Gnucash is a gnome1.4 app. It is broken on tiger and will remain so for at

november, or earlier.
Do you
Does anyone have any idea why gnucash no longer shows up when you do a search
for it on http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/index.php?phpLang=en, nor does it show
up in the complete list of packages at http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/list.php.
You can still get to it here:
