Hi, when I run esd, I get the following output: using device Built-in audio controller for output: with sample rate 44100.00, 2 channels and 32-bit sample unsupported device. xmms doesn't work and reports that error, too. I'm using a PPC G4 466MHz. Any ideas? Thanks in adv

If the only problem is gcc 3.3, you could run "sudo gcc_select 3.1" to use gcc 3.1 as your default compiler. I believe it's not too hard to remove the Dev Tools. There should be a Perl script called /Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl . If you run this, that should clear everything out, an
