Thanks for the various advice guys. The 0.5.0 distribution is
just the ticket.

a smooth workflow for people who need to install fink under
Jaguar now. Following the bootsrap instructions works up to the
step where selfupdate-cvs is required. The pr

I've been using the symbolic link technique for some time. No problems with

I keep getting a strange error. Whenever I try to install or update _any_
package I get a complaint about libvorbis:
"files list file for package `libvorbis' contains empty filename"
For example, here's what happens when I try to build "expect":

FWIW, I get this "it is in the way" problem quite frequently. Changing
owners doesn't help. Removing the old .info and .patch files works one time
but on future selfupdates the problem recurs. Any ideas?
Thanks,

It seems that all of a sudden my "fink selfupdate" stopped working
properly. I update directly from CVS and I keep getting lots of messages
like this:
cvs update: move away
dists/unstable/crypto/finkinfo/openssh-3.0.2p1-1.patch; it is in the way
C dists/unstable/crypto/finkinfo/openssh-3.0.2p1
