Apple's X server. I don't know if it's just loading very, very slowly,
or if it's stuck completely. I can't see how the choice of X11 server could
make that sort of difference, though.

No worries. I went ahead and modified the info file to point to
gaim0.75. Then I ran "fink install gaim" and it compiled the latest
version for me. It works like a champ. Sweetness!

This is odd. I deleted the giam.info and gaim.patch, re-ran
selfupdate-cvs and it gave me version 0.72. Still now 0.74. In fact,
I don't have gaim-ssl 0.74 in unstable crypto either. Ideas?

unstable, ran selfupdate and then update-all and just chose "y" to
everything. Oops.

Do any of you use vsftpd on OS X (http://vsftpd.beasts.org/)? I
haven't tried to compile it from source so I thought I'd ask. Has
anyone considered adding it to Fink? I moved us off a IIS 5.0 (FTP)
and on to Mandrake 9.1 with vsftpd at the offi

Fixed. I downloaded the fink-0.4.0a-full, ran the inject script, went
to /sw/fink, ran this cmd: cvs update -d -P, and xmms 1.2.7-1 now
compiled and installed.

My first attempt I did a 'fink install sawfish' and it failed at
libglad-0.16-5. I went to another PowerBook and did a 'fink update-all'
and it also failed with libglade. What do I need to do to get 0.17-3
installed?
