Can anyone point me to a detailed "how-to" to use distcc installed by fink? I had distcc working prior to installing Panther and the new developer tools. Now I can't seem to get the fink-installed version to work. I'm getting an error that distcc appears to be invoking itself recursively.
I must have something setup incorrectly... Here's a snippet of the error message: distcc[8535] (dcc_trace_version) distcc 2.12 powerpc-apple-darwin7.2.0; built Jan 1 2004 22:40:57 distcc[8535] (dcc_recursion_safeguard) safeguard: 1 distcc[8535] (dcc_recursion_safeguard) safeguard level=1 distcc[8535] (main) compiler name is "distcc" distcc[8535] (main) CRITICAL! distcc seems to have invoked itself recursively! distcc[8535] (dcc_exit) exit: code 111; self: 0.000000 user 0.020000 sys; children: 0.000000 user 0.000000 sys distcc[8535] (dcc_cleanup_tempfiles) deleted 0 temporary files distcc[8534] child 8535 terminated with status 0x6f00 distcc[8534] cpp resource usage: 0.000000s user, 0.030000s system distcc[8534] Notice: cpp on kodiak.local failed with exit code 111 distcc[8534] release lock distcc[8534] release lock distcc[8534] Notice: compile on afognak.local failed with exit code 111 distcc[8534] exit: code 111; self: 0.0000 user 0.20000 sys; children: 0.0000 user 0.30000 sys distcc[8534] deleted 1 temporary files make[1]: *** [FaultedConnectionEdgeWeight.o] Error 111 make: *** [all] Error 2 -- Sincerely, Brooks ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
