I am trying to follow the 8 September upgrade instructions (at http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/jaguar.php). All seems to be going well, but during the upgrade Step 5, I got several crashes of emacs (in the console). The output of the update reveals:
> Making all in misc > WARNING: Warnings can be ignored. :-) > if test /sw/bin/emacs != no; then \ > EMACS=/sw/bin/emacs /bin/sh ./elisp-comp po-mode.el; \ > fi > dyld: /sw/bin/emacs Undefined symbols: > /sw/bin/emacs undefined reference to _BC expected to be defined in > /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib > /sw/bin/emacs undefined reference to _PC expected to be defined in > /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib > /sw/bin/emacs undefined reference to _UP expected to be defined in > /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib > ./elisp-comp: line 42: 2952 Trace/BPT trap ${EMACS-emacs} > -batch -l script -f batch-byte-compile *.el > mv: rename *.elc to ../*.elc: No such file or directory And a similar error in "Making install in m4". I had emacs installed previously, and obviously at this point emacs is not yet updated, so I perhaps should not be surprised at these errors. Are they innocuous? Will the right thing happen when I upgrade emacs? ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
