I have installed KDE and have been trying to start using it for a week or so
now. However, as KDE starts, it VERY slowly loads the first two modules, but
when it hits "Peripherals", it stops loading and the startup dialog window
vanishes. It never gets any farther than that. I have included my

I had KDE working correctly until dselect updated KDE to the latest version.
Now I get the following error message:
Couldn't start kdeinit. Check your installation.
Followed be:
Couldn't start ksmserver. Check your installation.
I have verified the following:
My host name has no spaces
or at least add a confilcts with libxpg4
