I have moved the directories as described by Martin yesterday (Thx BTW) but now I have only 576 pakages instead of the >1500? Any idea?

Please do not use CVS as update method unless you absolutely have to. You can read why here:
fink.sf.net/mirrors.php
Mainly rsync is faster rsync only updates the Tree you actually use
You can find further explanation of that page, as well as in the mailing list archives.
You may switch by using fink selfupdate-rsync
