IceWM and Sawfish are both lightweight (and most of the machines I run them on are using older technology) and have themes which I have become particularly attracted to (Infadel2 & MicroGUI) as they are far more than mere variations on the old clunky FVWM appearance (with a bit of colour and maybe a background picture).
I would like to use a combination of IceWM/Gnome, but Gnome keeps forgetting my IceWM settings (regardless of which platform I am running it on).

I have a question that may help me with some decision making. This will give me recommendations and will ease some curiosity in my mind.
What is everyones favorite window manager. If you use a desktop environment (KDE or gnome), what wm do you use with them. I would just like to see where the preference lies. Sawfish, enlightenment, blackbox, icewm, oroborus, afterstep, ect. But don't stop with just one word response. Try, if you can, to provide a little description of why.
I have tried icewm, blackbox, w/ and w/o using KDE, just want to satisfy my curiosity.
